I SMELL TROUBLE, BUT FOR WHO?
THEY HAVE MADE THEIR POINT, BUT DOES ANYONE GET IT YET ?
By the millions they loaded their cars, vans, buses and rode the trains and planes. In some cases a sea of signs as far as the eye could view, they waved them proudly. Dressed in everything from Every-one's favorite Uncle to Abe and George. They did it from locations out west in the deserts of Searchlight, Nevada to the Washington Monument in D.C. and they screamed from the mountain tops to the shores of Texas and Florida. And yet, there is trouble brewing. This trouble in this pot, that is bubbling is not a bad stew, but tea! You would think that with the almost overwhelming victories that the Tea Parties orchestrated back in November of 2010, the Republican Blue Bloods would hear the clang of symbols and wake up. Let's think about this for a moment. These rag tag not so political people managed to gather enough wind " something akin to a CAT 5 Hurricane " to sweep into office people with zero political background or savvy. They managed to elect an Optometrist in Kentucky, an unknown in South Carolina, ( let's just say unknowns in most States and that should cover it ), and they put the fear of God into a White House reeling from the plague of uber liberalism. With all that said, so what is the problem?
HERE IS THE PROBLEM, OR IS IT?
As of now, the Tea Party has managed to drag kicking and screaming the Obama Administration to the right. Whether they have actually gone right and landed in the middle is up for discussion and I would love to hear your viewpoints at the end of this, but that is what the President is trying to sell to America. in Obama accent> America I hear you, we need to lower the deficit, we need to balance our checkbook, we need to be strong on defense, blah, blah, blah... The President has read the " Tea Leaves " and this fellow is not stupid. He is the consummate politician and campaigner, which has been one of my chief gripes. He has spent the better part of his tenure campaigning rather than governing, but that is another subject or Hub if you will. The fact is this, you still have the old Blue Blood Republicrats in charge of the party. A good example of this is one that I truly wanted to see run for President and that is Senator John Thune of South Dakota. But after we have millions upon millions of people carrying signs, pitchfork's, and torches nationwide, what does he do? He supports the pork ! This guy actually tried to sneak pork into a bill and then tried to defend it. Come on Senator Thune! Do you not get what this Tea Party thingy is all about?
The fact is The President gave birth to the Tea Party through his uber leftist legislation with the help of the Princess of the Bay Area ( Nancy Pelosi ) and the idiot from Searchlight ( Weird Harry ). The American people fell for the mantra " Hope and Change " and now when they got a very leftist Anti-Constitutional / American version of what they thought they were purchasing, they are angry. Remember the protest during the Vietnam War? What your now witnessing is those protest to the power of ten. You have millions and millions that have actually registered as members of the various Tea Parties. And probably 5 times that many who support the cause but just don't have time to go out and actually demonstrate their enthusiasm or wish to sign up. But make no mistake about it, they will and do vote according to traditional values and whom the Tea Party hierarchy support or say to support.
To fill in the blank here, President George W. and the rest of the Blue Blood's also helped to get this started. When the President signed on for the Tarp Bailout and instituted the first of what we now know as Stimulus spending, this was very anti-conservative behavior that the center-right voters of America could not stand nor want to deal with. This too, was the infusion of conservatism that got this little party started. Then came the General Motor's seizure if you will. Then came the riding of the banks like a bronc with flank strap on it's back. Don't forget about the clobbering of the free enterprise (that America what it is or was) system known as Health Care or the Insurance Industry. And this list of destruction to the American Constitution goes on. What this new President did was to give the rumblings and cursing that gave birth to the Tea Party in first place, he gave them a shot of steroids in both hips. And bang, here we are. A muscled up version of Uncle Sam with an attitude. I picture the Tea Party as a fellow in an Uncle Sam outfit with the body Arnold back when he was still body building at Venus Beach, California. And thus the Tea Party is here to stay. And the problem is this. The Tea crowd wants slashing and burning of the budget. They want rid of waste, fraud, pork and those that support it. The Blue Bloods want to keep on as business as usual with a little cutting just to appease the Tea Crowd and the left wants to duck for cover until the war blows over. The bigger problem is this.

Has Obama really changed? I seriously doubt it. Personally, I think he was installed in office to do serious damage. Not conspiracy theory, but watching his actions. I have never seen nor known a President that was so happy to seize public and private industry and bring it under the umbrella of the government as fast as this guy did. No, I do not for a millisecond believe the President has become more conservative or ran to the middle as Bill Clinton did. Not for a second. But what he is doing is positioning himself for the Independent voter. And the Republicans had better wake up to that. This little lame duck session proved to me that " The Blue Bloods" don't yet get what the Tea Party is all about. John Thune had better wake up fast or he will not only lose his Presidential bid, but he will lose his Senate Seat as well. The fact is this America, THE TEA PARTY IS CONDUCTING A REVOLUTION ( PEACEFUL ONE ) ON YOUR BEHALF. THEY AND I MEAN BASIC, MIDDLE CLASS AMERICAN'S WITH MIDDLE CLASS VALUES ARE IN FACT CONDUCTING A REVOLUTION ON THE AMERICAN GOVERNENT AT THE BALLOT BOX. They are not stupid, they know the Constitution, they know what the heck is going on in Washington and their sick of it.
If these entrenched politicians on the right don't get it, they too will be thrown out. You saw it last election, yes, some of the liberal Republicans lost their seats. IE: look at Utah, look at South Carolina and very nearly Alaska. Joe Wilson would have won, had he not become so arrogant and stupid. No America, the Tea Parties are here to stay until the spend thrift stupid Washington elite is removed and they turn this country around.
Republicans Message to All of You ! Change your ways, listen to the Tea Party ! These are real Americans whom fear for our nation. I included a video on but one topic. Listen to this fellow. They are paying attention and they are growing in numbers fast than you can count. Buy the movie " John Adam's" that was put out by HBO, watch it ! If you want to know what the Tea Party wants that is it. They want what our founders envisioned. They want freedom, liberty and the government to get the heck out of our lives and wallets. This is a strong message to all your " Blue Blooded Republicrats" in Washington. YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED! JOHN BOEHNER, rein in the left leaning moderate Republicans now! Or they too will go the way of the retirement window in Washington.
No, I am most certainly not a right wing fanatic. I am not a wild eyed renegade. I believe we need Social Security, I believe we need some sort of Health Care for those that do not qualify under normal circumstances or cannot afford main stream health care. I believe that we need to put a leash on the ACLU and put a choke hold on the neck of people like Andy Stern. He is doing more damage to our economy than most can comprehend and he is doing it under the radar screen of most Americans. I believe we need to allow Christians to put up their Manger scenes at Christmas. I believe that Gay's already have the same rights as most Americans and their should not be separate rights for them, just because of their preferences in the bedroom. I believe we need to recognize that this is a HOLY WAR, not just some disgruntled rag tag boys with an attitude named Abdul. We need to lock this country down now and get a grip on what is really going on with terrorism and illegal immigration. Then once we get it organized, then we can open it back up again. No, I am not an idiot, I am a patriot that loves his country and fears for her future. Prudence in everything and wisdom is what we need now.
Speaker Boehner, get a grip and do it now. Mr. President, change your spots and Harry, jump off a cliff for the good of the nation! Did I respond, and you hid the response, but posted YOUR response instead? Hmmm...that would appear as if you fear what was contained within that response of mine, didn't want people to see it crushed your topic. Typical.

Convictions
Oliver North and John Poindexter were indicted on multiple charges on March 16, 1988.[75] North, indicted on 16 counts, was found guilty by a jury of three minor counts. The convictions were vacated on appeal on the grounds that North's Fifth Amendment rights may have been violated by the indirect use of his testimony to Congress which had been given under a grant of immunity. In 1990, Poindexter was convicted on several felony counts of conspiracy, lying to Congress, obstruction of justice, and altering and destroying documents pertinent to the investigation. His convictions were also overturned on appeal on similar grounds. Arthur L. Liman served as chief counsel for the Senate during the Iran-Contra Scandal.

Caspar Weinberger (R) Secretary of Defense, was indicted on two counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice on June 16, 1992. [1]. Weinberger received a pardon from George H. W. Bush on December 24, 1992 before he was tried.

John Poindexter National Security Advisor (R) convicted of 5 counts of conspiracy, obstruction of justice, perjury, defrauding the government, and the alteration and destruction of evidence. The Supreme Court overturned this ruling.
Duane Clarridge An ex-CIA senior official, he was indicted in November 1991 on 7 counts of perjury and false statements relating to a November 1985 shipment to Iran. Pardoned before trial by President George H. W. Bush.
Richard V. Secord Ex-major general in the Air Force who organized the Iran arms sales and Contra aid. He pleaded guilty in November 1989 to making false statements to Congress. Sentenced to two years of probation.
Albert Hakim A businessman, he pleaded guilty in November 1989 to supplementing the salary of North by buying a $13,800 fence for North with money from "the Enterprise", which was a set of foreign companies Hakim used in Iran-Contra. In addition, Swiss company Lake Resources Inc., used for storing money from arms sales to Iran to give to the Contras, plead guilty to stealing government property.[89] Hakim was given two years of probation and a $5,000 fine, while Lake Resources Inc. was ordered to dissolve.
The Independent Counsel, Lawrence E. Walsh, chose not to re-try North or Poindexter. [91]In total, several dozen people were investigated by Walsh's office
President Reagan appeared before the Tower Commission on December 2, 1986, to answer questions regarding his involvement in the affair. When asked about his role in authorizing the arms deals, he first stated that he had; later, he appeared to contradict himself by stating that he had no recollection of doing so.

Trafficking and the Contras
The National Security Archive obtained the hand-written notebooks of Oliver North, the National Security Council aide who helped run the contra war and other Reagan administration covert operations, through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed in 1989 with Public Citizen Litigation Group. The notebooks, as well as declassified memos sent to North, record that North was repeatedly informed of contra ties to drug trafficking.
Document 1
In his entry for August 9, 1985, North summarizes a meeting with Robert Owen ("Rob"), his liaison with the contras. They discuss a plane used by Mario Calero, brother of Adolfo Calero, head of the FDN, to transport supplies from New Orleans to contras in Honduras. North writes: "Honduran DC-6 which is being used for runs out of New Orleans is probably being used for drug runs into U.S." As Lorraine Adams reported in the October 22, 1994 Washington Post, there are no records that corroborate North's later assertion that he passed this intelligence on drug trafficking to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

In a July 12, 1985 entry, North noted a call from retired Air Force general Richard Secord in which the two discussed a Honduran arms warehouse from which the contras planned to purchase weapons. (The contras did eventually buy the arms, using money the Reagan administration secretly raised from Saudi Arabia.) According to the notebook, Secord told North that "14 M to finance [the arms in the warehouse] came from drugs."

An April 1, 1985 memo from Robert Owen (code-name: "T.C." for "The Courier") to Oliver North (code-name: "The Hammer") describes contra operations on the Southern Front. Owen tells North that FDN leader Adolfo Calero (code-name: "Sparkplug") has picked a new Southern Front commander, one of the former captains to Eden Pastora who has been paid to defect to the FDN. Owen reports that the officials in the new Southern Front FDN units include "people who are questionable because of past indiscretions," such as José Robelo, who is believed to have "potential involvement with drug running" and Sebastian Gonzalez, who is "now involved in drug running out of Panama."

On February 10, 1986, Owen ("TC") wrote North (this time as "BG," for "Blood and Guts") regarding a plane being used to carry "humanitarian aid" to the contras that was previously used to transport drugs. The plane belongs to the Miami-based company Vortex, which is run by Michael Palmer, one of the largest marijuana traffickers in the United States. Despite Palmer's long history of drug smuggling, which would soon lead to a Michigan indictment on drug charges, Palmer receives over $300,000.00 from the Nicaraguan Humanitarian Aid Office (NHAO) -- an office overseen by Oliver North, Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs Elliott Abrams, and CIA officer Alan Fiers -- to ferry supplies to the contras.
