WHAT IS DRIVING TERRORISM ?
Let it be known that this is ONLY one redneck cowboy's opinion and I do not sit in the Pentagon, nor the White House. I am strictly an observing American citizen, whom is very concerned. My political stance in life is somewhere around the middle of Center and the Far Right Fringe. I guess you could say I am hard liner when it comes to economics, but I am just a pinch more forgiving on social issues. When it comes to the military however, I am one that believes if you send them, give the Generals your objective ( IE: destroy enemy ) then shut up and let them do their job. I believe that politics and the military should not be co-mingled. Otherwise you end up with a Vietnam, Iraq, South Korea etc...It is my belief, if you go to war, you by George go to win, or don't go !
With all that said, we are now in our 8th plus year of the War on Terror. This war is not the same as fighting a German Army dressed in grey with great big black symbols painted on everything they own. This war doesn't have red circles painted on anything, nor does it have hammers and cycles adorning their uniforms. This war is against an ideology and a religion. YES, I said religion. Allow me to explain. It is not that we dislike the enemies religion, nor are we trying to destroy that religion. The problem is this. I read the other day in several different articles on the net by Theologians that in the Koran, there are over 109 different references " decrying that a devout Muslim will kill Jews and Christians for Allah ". This is not the first time I have read this. It is not the first time I have heard this. My own father spent 4 years in Saudi Arabia blueprinting the oil fields for ARAMCO. My father is a very curious individual and highly educated. While he spent this 4 years in Saudi Arabia, he read the Koran from cover to cover. He said the same thing. While not counting the exact amount of references to ALLAH ordering his followers to commit murder, he has told me more than once, yes, these orders are in fact in the Koran. Anyone saying or believing that this religion is a peace loving and accepting religion would be sadly mistaken. No, I am not " HATING OR FUELING HATRED " I am merely speaking the truth of what is in these people's religious doctrine.
It is my contention that the very religion of Islam or Muslim is what is driving this war. Keep in mind, WE DID NOT START IT ! We did in fact, not by our choice, have to go to war under Pappa Bush to free Kuwait from Saddam. We did not want to and President Bush tried in vain through the United Nations to force Saddam back home. Bush did everything in his power to prevent war with Saddam Hussein.
The bottom line is this to all the above. The fundamental side of the Muslim (Islamic) faith says that " ALL" Infidels ( those of you that do not practice Islam ) must die to purify the earth. All JEWS, All CHRISTIANS ARE mandated by ALLAH to die ! There you go America, it is that simple. Not politically correct, but it is the truth. What this is akin to is this. The Methodist say that only some of you should die, while the Baptist say " everyone that is not Baptist " must die. It is my responsibility as a good Baptist to kill you if your a Lutheran or worse yet, do not attend church at all. And thus we have what is going on, well sort of. Here is the back story.
The rest of the puzzle is this. We are also suppose to control the earth in order that our Prophet or Angel or whomever can come back to set up housekeeping on earth. Thus: the reason the Muslim Brotherhood is so hell bent on grabbing Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen and the rest of the Middle East. This is the reason Islam has moved into Europe so strongly, IE: London, Spain, France and the rest.
WARNING, THIS PART IS TOUGH TO READ, BUT IT IS THE TRUTH !
It is my opinion that America needs to get a grip on this. The fact is these religious faithful are trying to kill us and destroy us. The Multicultural followers are not grasping this. The folks that screamed at America for becoming upset over the Ground Zero Mosque, simply do not understand that Islam is using these Mosque as the training centers to further this faiths agenda of WORLD DOMINANCE. If you doubt this, simply look at all the reports put out by the FBI, CIA and a litany of other agencies regarding this topic. There is a pickup truck load of paperwork that has been written from agents that have infiltrated these Mosque's to find out what is truly going on in them. It is my belief that one of the most serious aspects of this religious war is this. Christians do not understand this part. According to the Koran as a good Muslim you are allowed to lie about your faith. YES, I said it, LIE, AGAIN I SAID IT, LIE !! Meaning, if it helps you to further the agenda of the Muslim faith, you as a Muslim are allowed to tell whomever that your a Christian or a Jew. All why secretly plotting and scheming behind the scenes to further your agenda of Sharia Law or pushing Islam. THEY ARE DOING THIS BY TELLING CHRISTIANS WE ARE NOT BEING ACCEPTING AND BEING PREJUDICE AGAINST MUSLIMS. They have even used Muslims to spew their propaganda of love and tolerance while posing as Christians. Make no mistake about it my fellow Americans, WE are at WAR !
IT IS NOT A WAR THAT WE STARTED. It is a war that began over religious ideology that actually began thousands of years ago. It is a war that is being perpetuated by religious ideology. This war actually began in earnest ( for modern times ) a little over 30 years ago. It began with the overthrow of The Shaw of Iran by Islamic Fundamentalist Students when they seized our United States Embassy in Tehran, Iran. see wikipedia article ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_hostage_crisis ) Then the elusive Religious Icon Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, arrives back in Iran from exile and actually manages to turn the country back in time by 100 years. He ruled Iran with a religious iron fist and implemented Sharia Law up-to and including stoning women to death for not wearing the proper clothing or being in public without a male escort from their family. The doctrine of fundamentalism Islamic law had officially been resurrected in the Middle East and it has been spreading like a wild fire.
The reality is this. These Fundamentalist Islamic Religious Leaders in fact wield a tremendous amount of power in the Middle East. The believe that they are destined to rule the world and are seeking to do so.
AMERICAS DESTINY
Our destiny largely depends on how and when we as Americans are going to come to the realization that this wave of tyranny is real and we are about to be victims of it. America currently is still under the mental myth that we can be Open Minded, Tolerant, Accepting and Loving to the world and they in turn will respond with open arms and embrace our good will and charity. NOT TRUE ! The SHIITE version or the Fundamental version of Islam only views our " open minded, all embracing mental framework " as weakness and should be seized upon. These people use our love and acceptance against us ! The fact is this America, UNTIL we begin to view this as a RELIGIOUS HOLY WAR ( again not our policy or belief, but reality ) we are in fact doomed to suffer greatly. Very shortly we will begin to see Americans bloodshed on American soil with more and more frequency. We will begin to see the college boy with a backpack walk into a cafe and blow himself and 32 civilians up all in the name of Allah. We will see the Christmas shopping season turn into a blood bath at your local shopping mall. This is all due to the fact that because of our open-ness and acceptance we now have tens of thousands of these HOLY WARRIORS on American Soil. We do not know who they are, or where they are, but we know they are here.
If you do not believe that this is possible, I refer you to Ireland back in the 1970's and early 1980's. I refer you to Spain, England, Italy, France and of course the worst of the worst cases, Israel. I refer you to Croatia and the upper Baltic States and the Indonesia Disco's. No America, I am terribly afraid it is coming and it is coming with a vengance. This is the reason that the Chancellor of Germany, the President of France and the British Prime Minister all recently said " WE ARE DONE WITH MULITICULTERALISM ".
This President needs to be congratulated on his finding and going after Bin Laden. I personally do not agree with the way he has handled the entire episode, but hat's off to him none the less. With that said, This President Obama needs to come to grips with the fact that these people are truly trying to kill us and destroy the Western Way of Life. They are attacking Capitalism, they are attacking Judaism, Christianity, I-PADS, I-PODS, mini skirts, convertible automobiles, microwave ovens and every other aspect of our culture. They believe in their doctrine that we are Satanic because we live this lifestyle.
Americas Destiny LIES in our ability to finally recognize what is actually happening and begin to take measures to protect ourselves. It starts with cleaning out the Mosque's that spew this hatred. It starts with recognizing that these people are actually seeking to destroy us and kill us. It begins with protecting our borders and shutting down the very obvious flood of illegal folks walking into America with God only knows what in their backpacks. It begins with a changing of the mental framework that we have had for so many years. It begins in our hearts and our minds, and lastly it begins with viewing evil for what it is.

This is one of your best hubs in my opinion. Up, useful. and awesome. The only place we disagree is about Bush doing everything he could to avoid going into Iraq. Done is done, and who cares now?
My take: THEY HIDE WEAPONS IN MOSQUES. Every country we've had to fight these creeps in, they make this common practice, and the mosque people seem to go along with it quite nicely. You don't see any clerics running up to a military officer bitching about it do you? This is our enemy's m.o.. We know that Mosques are used as tools for war with these people. These sacrid places play a duel role it seems. Peace loving Muslims can worship there while radical Muslims can war there. If a person denys the security risks in this, they are one of the following; brain dead, or an America hater. With no disrespect to their religion, but plenty of disrespect for what occurs inside their religion, I think that Muslim activities have to be monitered and controlled within or borders. This is war, and war is unfortunate and ugly. Anybody who would find this unacceptable, can pick the country of their choice in the middle east, move there, and do a little stoning or whatever makes em happy.

What a truthful and insightful piece. I believe every word. I agree with you completely. Until all Americans recognize the truth of the Muslim quest we will be flirting with disaster. We need to secure our borders and do everything possible to keep our nation safe. Most of all we have to face reality. Up, useful and totally awesome.
The largest problem I see is it is too late to start watching our borders because they are already here, and growing in strength by the day. We are so concerned with being PC and other issues, we ignore this threat that radical Muslims present to this country. I'm not being prejudiced and saying all Muslims are bad. Heck, I know a few of them and consider them among my closest friends. I'm saying that mixed in with the good ones are some radicals who believe their reason for being on earth is to kill non-Muslims. You may even have one for a neighbor.

Ken, let me be clear. When I say weapons in a mosque, a weapon doen't have to be a gun or a bomb. Radical teachings are more powerful than a bomb. Taking everything into consideration, we have to lessen our sensitivities. As a matter of national security, we have to know what's going on inside those mosques. We can't allow fruit cakes to rape us with our own constitution. I'm sick of this. It's the old saying, "as long as you keep smiling, we'll keep "bleeping" you." It's high time to wipe the stupid smile off our face, and act responsibly.

In reference to this saying the unitedstates has forced the replacement of many Democratically elected foriegn leaders around the world over the years.The CIA was instrumental in doing this.
Why did we do it? Was it,for stratigic military reasons or maybe corporate monitary reasons or both?
What gives us the right to interfere in the affairs of other countries with Impunity?
Patriotism starts at home and not in the way other countries wish to live their lives.

Ken: If the newest rumors are true(if) Bid Laden actually died back in December 2001, or 2006, or 2007, then your president has sunk himself as far as being able to be trusted to reveal the truth is concerned.Now if any of these other rumors are true, Obama has "NO" credibility any more. This will definitely screw him over next November, as a matter of fact the American public should impeach him not just for the lie but also for the use of force to kill (WHO)? If some look-a-like Bin Laden was killed, then Obama should be put on trial for murder and conspiracy to commit murder and the sanctioning of the death of someone not Bin Laden.
As for the beliefs of Fundamental Islam believing that all unbelievers must die to keep pure the faith, seems to me that I heard this before when Adolf Hitler decided it necessary to purity the Nazi Regeme by killing off anyone person or nation that did not fit his idea of a pure Arian, eventhough hitler himself was not pure but of mixed blood.
Dave: I have no doubt that it was in fact Bin Laden that the Seals killed the other night. To much info has surfaced in the last day or two to prove that out, including the Al Qaeda websites today confirming that it was their leader who was murdered. My problem with this whole episode is this.
America is suppose to be a just nation that tries to always keep justice and fairness in every action. Since when do we go in and arbitrarily murder unarmed people ? This was an execution of people that were not armed and were not fighting back except the doorman or 1 guard.
How much intel was lost by handling it this way ? What does this display to the rest of the world ?
Dave, you know my writing's. I am about as hard lined right as it gets. I am by no means a leftist wimp. I am about kicking tail and taking names. This entire episode is just not passing the smell test for me. I do believe he was killed the other day, but what I am confused about is " why "? I mean we had the leader of a terrorist group with computers. Why not question him ? Why not send him to Gitmo and waterboard him or whatever ? Why not find out what was driving him mentally to do what he did ? We did it with Jeffrey Dahmer to learn more and dozens of other mass murders.

Anytime their is a person or group that seeks to eradicate a race or people because of their beliefs or blood lines or whatever, then it is to me the epitomy of evil. Just as Hitler sought to wipe out the Jewish bloodlines, the Shiites or Fundamentalist of the Islams seek to wipe out Christians and Jews, for no other reason than our belief. If,you believe that the CIA covertly insights riots by paying your enimies to insight a riot then I'm pretty sure we do understand our enemies.When your enemies are not benvelent enough to take the needs and interests of their people into consideration to the extent of rebellion than even your governments enemies are your friends especially when it's paid for by your enemies.

I'm completely tracking with you, Ken, and I enjoyed the discussion this spawned. One thought: I've seen for myself how radicals can so threaten (at time terrorize) and brain wash the more peace loving Muslims, that in their loyalty to Islam those more peace-loving ones will join in killing/fighting infidels. It is a matter of where the loyalties/commitments lay that determines their eventual response. This is why an immigrant's assimilation is so important. Wishing our troops could now be brought home to better address the enemy among us, in our own country.
We cannot stop the degradation of our country is we do not get a grip on immigration. We are bringing in hoards of people, en masse, without screening or qualifying them as we used to do. We have entire gangs of Somalis running wild across the country commiting crimes because they are uneducated, illiterate and homeless. WE have the same thing in the SW with Mexicans that cross the border illegally and in the West with Hmongs who do not have the skills to write in their own native language. What on earth is our immigration policy? There is none. We used to quality people so that we knew when they became fellow AMericans they could take care of themselves, learn our language and that they were healthy. Now we let them in with TB and other diseases. Chanting that immigration made us great is multicultural hogwash. Careful immigration made us great. We do indeed have a unique and wonderful mix of people here that make up the greatness of this country, but we also have a mass of people that mean us harm and they are growing. Our congressmen are not doing their job.
There are illegal immigrants crossing the canadian border as well.
Unfortuneatly for America we have a large aging population that cannot be supported by the number of younger workers we currently have.
The economy we have been left with because of NAFTA and Gat have taken away so many jobs that people over fifty are having a hard time finding work.Especially work that has health benefits .The premiums are much higher for elderly workers.
Social security funds have been stolen by con-gress to pay for other programs.The social security payments are paid with I.O.U.'S which is propped up by paying the minimum loan payments on those loans.Eventually the system will collapse for lack of social security income from workers be they immigrants or not.
Someonewhoknows: I agree with every word of your last post. I think what was done with NAFTA is almost criminal to me. It is evil what these Congressman and Senators did to the American Social Security system. Most of the ones that did are dead now, but I do hope their is a special place in " you know where " for them. Thanks again for you input....

Ken, as usual, you present us with interesting and useful information.
We totally underestimate the war and the mission that is being waged against America by this Muslim culture. We allow this war to spread under our very noses, and no alarm bells are being sounded. Nope, we are more concerned with being PC and not offending anyone. If we do accidently offend someone, we will give them a few Billion bucks and hope they forgive us. The issue with the mosque being built at ground zero is a classic example. This matter should have been resolved in minutes by just saying "Not no, but hell no".
Part of the problem is that those we have appointed to guard our hen house do not understand the enemy. In the jungle, when a vicious animal is marauding villages and killing and eating people, a professional hunter is called in to solve the problem. Not because he is just a good shot, but because he has studied and understands the enemy. We need some professional hunters in charge of protecting us from this enemy. We do the opposite. We invite them to our country, help them build their mosques which I suspect are more for war planning than worship, and ignore what they are doing.
We don't need to waste time watching our borders for this invasion, they are already here and increasing their numbers daily with our blessing.
This is a serious problem and could well be the end of this great nation. Heck, most of our troops are not even home to protect us, they are occupying soil where this enemy lived before they moved to the USA.
