THE VERDICT IS IN AMERICA !
~~~~~TRUTH AND HONESTY ARE IN VERY SHORT SUPPLY ~~~~~
Have any of you noticed that in this White House, these are two characteristics that are in very short supply these days ? It seems that our beloved POTUS gets on the big bird, flies over to Ohio and gives us a very moving speech about some topic only to find out three days later, nothing he said was factual. To prove my point, I have included a video/audio from YOUTUBE of a speech from our most benevolent POTUS of just how awful America has been regarding terrorist. It seems that America was nothing short of having Hitler, Stalin and Castro characteristics because we had a place called GITMO. Our justice system was horrific under Bush because we used enhanced interrogation ( water-boarding ) to garner information to lead us to terrorist. Our legal system was something akin to that of the Crusaders from mid-evil times because we kept these nice folks locked up in a prison instead of providing them with legal aid so they could post bond and walk. OH MY GOD, THE INJUSTICE OF IT ALL ! Call me senile, BUT.
Somewhere in recesses of this old, cloudy. senile memory bank called my brain, I seem to remember the United States Armed Forces finding a guy named Saddam in a hole someplace. Correct me if I am wrong, but did not this most peace loving dictator kill something along the lines of tens of thousands of people with nerve agents. You remember those WMD's that did not exist. Cindy Sheehan and Michael Moore taught us that. Hollywood, and several other thousand of these very intellectual people told us that the most Evil One named President George W. Bush had sent us on this Wild Goose Chase for WMD's in Iraq. That stuff that left these evil war lords named KURDS in twisted heaps in ditches ( do not pay any attention to all the photo's of our findings, it is all a ruse ) and many of our soldiers with nervous problems only to end with the most peace-loving dictator laying in a spider hole.

Yes my friends, there is actually a funny thing about these all peace-loving folks from the left side of the aisle. Well, let me restate that. There is a funny thing in a pseudo sarcastic sort of way. Allow me to elaborate just a bit. President John F. Kennedy wanted to bring the boys home from Vietnam. He was actually wise and could not see a good outcome coming out of this situation. His Veep Johnson on the heels of the funeral at Arlington decided that was a bad idea. Ramped that little puppy up to finally leave with in excess of 50,000 dead American women and men in uniform. It took that evil war lord, you know those war mongering Republicans that love the taste the blood and building bombs to get us OUT of the war. I look back in history and it is usually a Democrat that screams peace and love that loads the boats and airplanes up with troops and sends them into action. Seriously America think about this. America's Social Spender in Chief FDR, then Truman and of course the architect of the Great Society LBJ all led us to war in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Remember now before I go on, this is the party that screams JUSTICE, EQUALITY AND BENEVOLENCE to the world and how evil and blood thirsty the Right Side of the aisle is.
Back to the tyrant named Saddam. President Bush ordered that he be found and captured. He did not order that he be found and blown into next week. America found the tyrant, handed him over to his people and monitered a trial. The Iraqi people found this man guilty and hung him for his war crimes and crimes against humanity. The point being Saddam had a trial and at least appeared to be handed justice in a socially acceptable manner. For all of this, the left screamed. They screamed about Bush being there in the first place and they screamed we were only there for oil to line the pockets of Dick Cheney and the Bush family coffers. Why is nobody screaming about Bin Laden ? Am I the only one that thinks this is the epitome of a boy playing President ? Am I the only one that thinks or believes this is horrific what this President has done ? Were the lives of the Kurds less valuable than those of America ? I better stop here for a moment and clarify before I am screamed at or hunted.
Yes, I say it again, YES, I do believe UBL/OBL/Usama Bin Laden/or Osama Bin Laden was in fact a monster. No question about it. This guy if ever their was one, deserved the death penalty. This guy was bad news. BUT ! Bin Laden was in fact fighting for a cause. We didn't like it, we didn't agree with it, but he was actually a warrior for his people and a cause. Keep in mind that it was America that employed Bin Laden, funded him, armed him and told him to go kill Russians. It was Bin Laden that was in fact an employee of America that spawned the movie " Charlie Wilson's War " with Tom Hanks. Go back in history and another very dark secret emerges, the same was true with Saddam Hussein. Yeppers, good old Saddam was propped up, funded and armed when Iraq was at war with Iran back in the early 80's to mid 80's. Of course something along the way happened and Saddam went rogue or did something that the U.S. did not like and the rest is history. The same thing happened with old Pineapple down in Panama. He was yet another victim of making the mistake of getting in bed with America and her political beliefs.
I know that by now you are screaming at Ken and calling him an American hating jerk. Nothing is further from the truth. I am only speaking the truth America. We as Americans, if we are going to espouse fairness and justice need to adhere to it full time instead of only when it serves our purposes. If we are going to stand on the side of truth, justice and the American way, then we need to act that way full time, not only when it is convenient. That is my point !

The fact is President Obama sent in a hit squad against this man. Yes, he was hated, yes he was evil and yes he was our enemy. Yes, yes, yes he deserved the death penalty. I agree with all the above. BUT and a great big BUT, he deserved to be sent to GITMO. You remember that evil place where we torture and kill innocent terrorist according to our President ? He deserved to be interogated and questioned and then given a military trial and hung or whatever. We had him unarmed standing against a wall with his family looking on. This Bush hating President whom preached peace, love, fairness and all the rest ordered that he be blown to skies. Apparently this is the reason he does not want the photo's leaked. I happen to know from an inside source that we actually blew his face off, not to mention all the other bullets put in his body. We literally went through the compound and killed everyone there except one of his wives and the children. One gun was found and that was it. One fellow at the door had a gun according to the White House. Not one other person was armed in that house and we slaughtered all of them. Question ? How much information or intelligence could we have garnered about upcoming missions had we not done this ? Further question, What was it that Bin Laden knew about, that the President was so afraid might leak out to the American public ? Why was the kill order issued ? To me this entire episode is not passing the smell test.
You may not like what I have written America, but it is the truth. While America is in fact one of the greatest nations in the history of the world, unfortunately yes, we do have a bit of dark in our history. We have done some fairly unsavory things in our history. That is just reality. But are we not to learn from our mistakes ? Of course, but this latest episode in our history was just plain wrong. We killed off an incredible amount of intelligence. We in cold blood murdered a man in front of his family, then dumped the body at sea. We did this so that he could not talk. Again, we killed off our previous mistakes in order that the truth not leak out. Yes, he deserved to die for his crimes, but again, he was a warrior and our enemy. No different than that of Rommel or any other WWII German General. He was just a different warrior in a different time.

UBL/OBL OR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL HIM WAS HONEST FROM THIS STANDPOINT. WE ALWAYS KNEW WHERE WE STOOD WITH HIM ! He hated Western Values and we knew that. He hated capitalism and we knew that. He believed in the old fashioned Muslim ways whatever they are and we knew that. Bin Laden told the world what he thought and he stood by it. Right, wrong or indifferent, we knew, he knew and the world knew what Bin Laden thought. This President told the world one thing, gave speeches on it and wrote it. Then turned right around and did the exact opposite. Maybe this is what I am so upset about. A President of my nation is not suppose to be a hypocrite and yet we have one in the Oval Office....Yes, I am irked and I am telling the world. Be it Bin Laden or anyone else, nobody but nobody deserves to be slaughtered in the manner this Hypocritical President ordered.
O.K., I am ready to be basted by all of you. But before you deep fry me for my thoughts, am I really that wrong. I have never known in America when justice is served by shooting an unarmed man against a wall in an execution style hit. When did that ever become fashionable in America ? While your hub is really well written and thought out, this bit of information here is incorrect. Unless you meant that democrats usually call for war overseas, and republicans usually want war within our own country. In US-participating wars, democrats and republicans have called for war almost equally since the 1700s. So unless the number one counts as "ususal", and calling for war somehow equals screaming for peace(how?)I have to call you out on your apparent assumption. Was your comment based in fact, or was it just a biased rant? You have not cited one source in this hub.

I have given this whole thing a lot of thought and although I always agree with your take in things, this time I feel differently.I do understand where you are coming from but all I can think of are all the men and women whose only "crime "was that they went to work on September 11th. Osama bin Laden and the rest of the radical Muslims who seek to destroy us are cowards who attack ordinary people as though they were soldiers bearing arms. Bringing him to Gitmo where he would be provided with a prayer mat and an audience would be way to painful for the American people to bear. I can't imagine how the families of all the victims would feel. It also would be a very slow process and in all likelihood bin Laden would die of natural causes before he was tried. No, Dead is better, armed or not.
Poolman: Take your time. But to be honest with you, I too am a bit up in the air on this. It just seems totally out of character for America....I shall await your thoughtful response.

Feel free to research any or all of my HUB, you will find that it is in fact 100% correct. Even the Charlie Wilson part. A: I am from Texas and know all about Congressman Wilson B. I remember when all that was happening like yesterday. C. I was in Iran for the Hostage Crises ( being in the military )and still have the sand in my mouth and eyes. D. I am old and have lived to see quite a bit.
All that aside, I also majored in History. Now for the Obama part. I AM NOT PARTICULARLY SLAMMING OBAMA, with the exception of him preaching love and then pulling this. I just wonder why we could have not snatched him in secrecy. That seemed to be the more logical thing to do to me. Thank you very much for your input and it is always welcomed on any of my HUBS.
Poppy: I accept our agreement to disagree on this one. I believe we should have grabbed him without the American people even knowing about it. The guy was a treasure trove of information and we killed it. This just doesn't make sense to me. Sorry Pop. I am not saying put him on trial in NYC either. A secret tribunal would have worked just fine. Dead is dead and I agree he needed to die, but killing the mother hen without getting the chicks doesn't make sense....Have a great one...Ken

Just pulling this off without it leaking all over the place is a first. I can't imagine capturing bin Laden and holding him in secret for more than 3 minutes. We did get an awful lot if information from the compound which is a good thing. Enjoy the rest of the week-end, Ken.
Ken, with very mixed emotions I offer these comments.
We know that Bin Laden was probably the most evil, vile, person on earth. The problem was/is he was highly intelligent, had a huge following, and could do great harm to us and others in the world.
To not snuff his butt like we did, could have caused some other serious issues. Had we incarcerated him in the attempt to extract more information, we may have encouraged a large scale hostage situation where they wanted to trade many American lives for this one scumbag. This could have drug on for years, and many politicians would have become involved including Eric Holder and his band of idiots.
No, I think we sent the proper message, and need to let it be known that from this day forward, this is exactly how we will deal with these terrorists. No long drawn out trial, no lawyers, nobody arguing over what court to try him in. No, one 50 cent bullet and all these issues were done away with.
I also believe we should cut off all aid to Pakistan, and tell them we can turn their entire country into a parking lot anytime we want to. The days of being PC need to be winding down. They hate us with a passion, and no amount of money will ever change that. It is long past time for us to stop kissing butts and tell it like it is.
We need to bring our troops home and start taking care of our own people and our own country. Our borders are like a sieve in spite of what Obama and Homeland Security tell us. Our troops being home could sure help solve this problem.
No, this should be our new message on how we deal with terrorists. They would soon run out of virgins up there if we did our job right.

It was a shock to me though that America would handle this the way we did. But in retrospect and the longer I think about all the ramifications that you brought up, the more I agree. Ken: Potus is controlled by his whitehouse handlers. I wonder if he actually reads what is written for him before he reads it to the public. He likes being infront of the tele-prompter, but I often wonder if her knows what he is saying or just simply reads what is there and lets the chips fall where they may.

Ken: What Old Poolman said, admittedly including the mixed emotions. Even so, though, you raised some very fine points on this page.
One additional issue resolved by the execution--or at least kept to a lower roar than would have been the case had he remained alive in our custody--involves the 2012 election campaign season. Alive, bin Laden would have loomed so large that not even the however-many Gazillion $$$ deficit could have unfogged the eyes of many voters.
This way, the Democrats have one less weapon at their disposal for keeping debate away from key issues like the economy and the government takeover inherent in Obamacare, cap and tax, open borders, etc.
Bottom line, I agree Obama's words do not match his actions (duh!), but I'm also relieved the Ongoing Trial of Osama bin Laden is NOT available to liberals as a campaign smokescreen and AVD (Amazing Voter Diversion).
