AMERICAS WAR WITHIN !

Never thought I would see !

If you want to have a very interesting conversation, sit down with someone in their 70's and ask them what America was like back in the 40's or 1950's. Ask them how Americans treated each-other. Ask them about work ethics, morality, decency and the political leaders. Once upon a time in America our President was revered. Business tycoons such as Henry Ford and Carnegie were respected for their accomplishments. People were actually respected when they professed their faith in God. Our educators kept their own personal political beliefs to themselves when teaching in school and our teachers actually enjoyed their careers and the achievements of their students. The United States was actually ( once upon a time ) both feared and respected on a global basis. Quick history lesson, " Did you know that if you were a Roman Citizen and travelled anywhere in the known world at that time, you were feared" ? The entire known world knew not to mess with a Roman Citizen for the simple reason was this. If a Roman Citizen was harmed, the Roman government and army came down on your little kingdom like a ton of bricks. The death toll was substantial for harming a Roman Citizen. America used to some degree be that way. Anywhere you travelled on this planet, you were respected back in the 50's, with the exception of maybe Russia, but otherwise, we as Americans were both loved and revered. Everyone wanted to come to America for the promise of freedom and liberty.

Back in the 50's, 60's etc. Ministers, Pastors, Attorneys, Doctors and even Politicians were respected to a great degree.

One has to ask themselves " what has happened to America " ? What has happened to the once revered and feared nation known as the United States of America ? Where has our respect gone ? Where has the morality, decency and hard work gone ? Why do we not manufacture anything anymore ? Why are we one of the most obese nations on earth ? Why is our test scores and our education level dropping like a brick off the Empire State Building ? How in 3 or 4 short decades have we gone from the largest creditor nation to the largest debtor nation ? I truly believe in my heart that if you look at where America was one or two short generations ago and where we are today, you or any sane person would have to agree, WE ARE NOT BETTER OFF ! Let's seriously take a hard look at ourselves America and take a look at what has happened to us. I do not honestly think or believe that the majority of us would not like to turn the clock back. Oh I know full well I will get the comments that today we have I-PADS, Microwaves, Computers and such, but that is not what I am referring to when I say " better off ". Nor am I referring to medical science. I am referring to a society that loves each-other, respects each-other and is respected globally. I am referring to pride ( as in respecting the flag and our nation ), honor, decency and a work ethic. I am referring to the love we once had for human dignity and life in general.

THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS:

1. PRIDE OR ARROGANCE: Does anyone believe that America after World War II did not come to believe that we were invincible ? And to be honest at that time we were pretty much invincible. But we allowed our arrogance to change our hearts and very soul as a nation. We came to believe that the entire world should be just as we are. It was not long after the great war that we began shifting our policy of just looking after ourselves to wanting to change the world to become like ourselves. The fact is we went into nations that had been the way they were for thousands of years and tried to save them from themselves. And thus we became embroiled in wars that some of which lasted for decades. Pride is one of the greatest detractors from God. One typically will say, life is good, what or why do I need God now ? And the spiral into chaos will begin. For two centuries this nation had relied on God as it's leader. Along came the O'Hara lady and that all changed. Now look at us ! We took God out of nearly everything in our country in the early 70's and look at us today. Come on all you Atheist, bring it on. If you think this did not have anything to do with our demise as the greatest nation on earth, your truly brain damaged. I say, just look at history ! Look where where were back in 1962 and look at us today. You surely cannot say, we are better off.
2. GREED: Look at our society today. A husband with a wife and 3 children will work some 70 hours a week to provide the " finer " things in life for his family. The wife is not happy, the children are miserable and they end in divorce. Yes today, we have over a 50% divorce rate and it is largely due to greed and wanting to keep up with the neighbors. This leaves the children without a foundation of security under them and they invariably end up on drugs or alcohol. Yes the statistics prove this. Children from broken homes have much higher addiction rate than children from solid homes. Greed has caused Wall Street meltdowns, bailouts, riots, protest and a calamity of other things, none of which are good. Greed caused Bernie Madoff and Enron. Greed has been the cause of General Motors going bankrupt and our revered politicians getting into trouble. Greed has been the cause of murders, affairs, stress, death and a litany of other problems in our country. Think about it !
3. LUST: Take a hard look at our teen pregnancy rates. Take a hard look at our television programming or billboards for that matter. Lust is everywhere. Women are no longer revered and put on pedestal or respected. In the " old " days, doors were opened for ladies, chairs pulled out and even cigarettes lit for them. Today, none of the above is in effect. It is because we have so diluted what is called respectability and we have objectified our females out of lust that no longer are our girls respected. They are merely viewed as play toys. For that matter the new terms are MILF, Cougars and Boy Toys. Children are much more likely to be abused today than they were 50 years ago. Lust led to Roe V Wade. Save your arguments, yes it did. It was done to provide a " clean up " method for mistakes during the sexual revolution of the early 70's. You remember Woodstock ? Drugs, sex and all the rest stems from the basic primal urge named LUST.
4. ANGER : Our murder rates today in drug torn towns such as Detroit, Chicago, Miami, Houston, Phoenix and such are out of site. Drive by shootings have killed thousands in this country. Gangs are in control in some portions of our once proud metro areas of some of our largest cities. The residents live in fear for their lives. It is a tragedy of massive proportions and in some cases the police are helpless to come to the aid of the fearful residents.

5. 6. and 7. Gluttony, Envy and Sloth are the remaining deadly sins. Is there really any need for explanation here. Our youth spend more time in front of X-Box games than they do playing with friends. Our nation is now in the top tier of obesity in the world today. We are fat, we are lazy and we are broke and broken. Those are not even discussable topics America. These are hard, cold facts. Our nations children score way below average in all topics of civilized nations . About the only one anymore that we score ahead of might be Tibet or Kenya, but otherwise we are down the list, number 23 seems relevant to me for some reason. No longer are children expected to earn what they want. They receive allowances and do not even clean their rooms anymore. They kill each-other in video games wearing headphones talking to other children across America. They are losing their very souls to video games, because they are not being taught respect for human life. Side note: When I was 13 years old, I spent my first summer working. I got a job at a local feed store, throwing around 100 bags of feed for horses and such for 75 cents an hour. The building was aluminum and it was hotter than the hinges of hell in that building in West Texas. I worked and I worked hard. It gave me character, built myself into a healthy young man and taught me respect for a dollar. I also gained self-esteem. Those character traits have been lost in this lazy, self absorbed society we have today. Today there is no self respect or esteem. IT all goes back to being lazy.

THEORY AND CONCLUSION : America we are losing the war. We are losing because nobody wants to call the war what it really is. This is a war between " GOOD VERSUS EVIL ". Yes America that is exactly what it is. Go back before prayer was taken out of school and the Ten Commandments removed from every wall in America. Go back to when America respected God and allowed him in our lives. Think, think hard ! Remember what it was like before we said it was o.k. to murder unborn babies ? Yes, I know that it happened, but we made it o.k. in our legal system, thereby sanctioning it by the Government. There is a difference. Remember the decency America had ?

America lived by the Bible. It was o.k. to spank your child. It was o.k. for the teacher to spank the child. And guess what ? Children learned, we were at the top of the pile in education. We were at the top because children respected their teachers and parents. Children no longer fear or respect anything or anyone.

America we are at war in this nation ! The folks that remember want to regain those glory days and the youth that have never experienced this, are at war. Lazy people are at war with hard working Americans. Greed is running amok and the Bible believers are at war with those that want a total meltdown of decency. Make no mistake about America, their is a war going on and the prize is your very soul.

America the fact is nearly every segment of society is at war with the other. The straights are trying to protect what is morally right against the gays who want to do what they want. The Conservatives are conservative by nature because most are Bible believing people. The Liberals scoff and make fun of Christians and Jews, but you ever notice that these groups have zero moral boundaries in their lives ? No compass on what is right or wrong. Everyone should have the right to do as they wish with what they wish to do it with. No America, we have a war going on. This war is clearly Satan vs. God. God will win in the end as he always does, but along the way the water might be a bit choppy. I am ready, are you ?
