First, I want to thank you for visiting my profile. A quick bit about me personally.

I was raised on a ranch in West Central Texas. After a childhood frought with abuse, alcoholism and drug abuse by my parents,  I was left pretty much wounded. I ran away to the rodeo circuit, then the United States Navy where I did manage to serve proudly. If it could be done wrong, I managed to do it. I managed to destroy a normal family unit for my 5 children by being a less than stellar father and husband.

After 35 years of screwing my life up as a result of my childhood, I finally was blessed to have someone "show" me the error of my ways. The pain resulting from that childhood had carried over into my adult life and I had programmed myself for failure at every turn. As I said before "if I could do it wrong, I did it". The tragedy was that until this person pointed that out to me, I did not even realize it and that was the case. Thus "Raised in Hell" was born.

While the book is truly a thriller about my life (and every word is true by the way), it is also a wonderful insight into the life of an "ACOA" otherwise known as an Adult Child of Alcoholic's and how they are created.  My Hubs will delve deeply into the problems that we ACOA's face on a daily basis, such Abandonment issues, low self esteem issues and the list goes on and on. I also have a passion for writing about politics, theology and travelling. This is primarily because I have personally travelled some 3-4 million miles in America alone and driving most of it.  

Currently I am working on the sequel to Raised in Hell and it is entitled "Living in Hell". It will be completed and ready for purchase sometime in early spring of 2011. It too is a hair raiser and you will honestly wonder how I survived.

I am currently available as a "Motivational Speaker" on how to survive and thrive and how to overcome immense obstacles in life. Due to my upbringing I did suffer terribly from nervous tic's, ADHD and tremendously low self esteem, all of which I have managed to overcome at least for the most part. My salvation lies in my very devout belief in God and my Lord "Jesus".
